Well life has gotten in the way, what with needing to prep, plan, clean and pack before my trip this Friday!
So in my last post I talked about a laundry list of things I wanted to get at Ridleys case lot sale like what 3 weeks ago? Long story short the what almost $300 I was putting together to spend on winter food supplies I did not spend that much at all I spent $90.77 in total that includes stuff I don’t think I planned on buying. I only managed to get x2 cases of the ramen, x1 case of the mac and cheese, x1 case of the mandarin oranges, x12 (x6 ea) of blueberry and raspberry jiffy muffin mixes, x2 of the mrs buttersworth syrup, x1 10lb bag of the pancake mix and a 25lb bag of onions. I did get some sparkling apple juice that I have not had in a years, a free can of campbells chuncky soup with a purchase over $15 (which is great!) I got x4 1gal bottles of arizona tea for if I remember right $2.99 each, a bag of malt-o-meals fruity pebble knock off cereal and a bottle of sweet baby rays honey bbq sauce. Thats all I got and I will say the canned mandarin oranges in light syrup are delicious!
Now the last 3 weeks have been rough for me I wont lie, part of the reason it’s been rough is due to lack of sleep and if you have mental health problems like anxiety you will know that lack of sleep can really cause mental health issues to be worse if you will. Not just that but Lucy our larger Cane corso mix girl got it into her fool head to jump the fence and well we have been refencing as well as getting things set up for when I go to make things a bit easier for my parents and family/friends that come over to give a hand while I am away. I may have to extend how long I am gone for hopefully I won’t have too though. I still have a few bits I need to get at the store mostly just a multivitamin and probiotic for my son and some root beer flavoured hard candies for myself! I am also dreading flying and being near any place with a large amount of people it gives me anxiety, so that plus traveling with a 4 year old that has autisim and hates going to places like stores its going to be stressful to say the least. I did request assistance for visable and non-visable disabilities as was recommended because my child and I will need to board early as I will need a few minutes to get to our seats store our bags and get him set up for the flight and I don’t want to do that will a long line of people wanting to get by me if I can help it, because that will to me be embarassing and stress/anxiety inducing. I am also praying that no one sits by us (highly unlikely though) but it would be nice as I really don’t want to bothered/upset people if my son has a meltdown, as this is sadly an urgent need for us to fly. Now I did get a middle seat in the mid 30 row in the middle as I hear upper middle seats won’t feel as much turbulance vs the seats farther back in the plane. I am really hoping because our flight is at night my boy will pretty much pass out as soon as we get on, thank god there is a mcdonalds at the airport so he can get some french fries before boarding the plane in case this does happen. I can’t wait though to get back to England even though it has had a massive amount of rain as of late, I just really want some fish and chips (proper fish and chips!) a chicken tikka, some good turkish food for our local turkish takeaway and maybe some of burger king UK’s chilli cheese bits (oh they are so darn good!).
Now with that all said I am packing quite lite, I will not be taking my laptop nor my chrome book as I don’t want to god forbid get them broken. I will also not be taking my tablet that is mostly down to the fact that the glue that holds the screen in the body has once again wore off and the screen is coming away from the main body and I don’t feel like messing around with it. I will be taking a UK and a USA kindle yes I have 2 kindles one has “UK” books the other has “USA” books, I am taking a kids fire tablet that has one of my sons favourite tv shows (wow wow wubbzy) and I will be taking my nintendo switch in case I get to board on the flight or once I get back to the house while we are there and my UK and USA phones (yes I have 2 phones the UK phone does not work here in the USA anymore). I was going to take a small 4 wheel carry on suit case but those are heavy by themselves and I can fit everything into a lighter duffle bag so I have gone down that route plus I can attach it to my sons stroller (pushchair) so I am not carrying it all around as I will already have a backpack on with his essential bits and a new larger purse which holds all of my electronics and other items I want on hand. I am of course looking forward to seeing my husband it’s been a little over 5 months I believe since I saw him in person and it does take a total on people being so far away and the lack of being together specially when you are darn near joined at the hip! I will say my daughter is loving school over here and I am quite happy with the drs over here for the kids as my son has actually been given a preliminary diagnosis for autisim and is being refered to places that can help him and give him a solid diagnosis and more of a game plan to help him vs the UK and the year+ long waiting list! my daughter will be getting tested as well for any learning disorders etc here a lot sooner then in the UK which is just a hassle over there to get them to do. So yea a heck of a time and a bit of a pointless ramble too boot. I will say I may or may not blog while I am in the UK as I might not have the time, if I do have the time I will of course drop a post and maybe a few pictures. Until next time have a wonderful day and a great week!
