First off some photos I have taken:1 from our home base between Rawlins & Laramie and 2-3 going to Casper from our home base. *Note some photos were taken in a moving car*

I did plan to do some stock up shopping this week as well which I did pretty good. Anyway we did go to city market on friday mostly because I planned to get a wyoming ID while near it but no, they had issues with the mail that was to act as proof of residence I personally think some of the “rules” are asinine in regards to acceptable proof of residence but thats my honest opinion specially when I don’t have lots of mail for myself here plus we are forced to have a po box because rural wyoming! Anyway we went to city market as they had some things I wanted to pick up they had a 10/$10 deal on american beauty pasta (Picked up 6x angel hair and 4x of those mini shell pasta shapes), Chef Boyardee (picked up some of the ravioli it’s a comfort food for me yes I know its junk food and yes I know it aint kosher certified) as well as rice-a-roni (I did not pick any up this time but my parents picked some up and no this was not added to my savings total at the end). They had Kroger butter for $2.99 per 1lb pack so I got 4 packs, each pack is normally around $4.29. I got lucky as I have been having break outs of acne due to a increase in dairy consumption, I thought of giving lactos free milk a try and I got lucky and found they had the lactaid whole milk on sale and with a digital coupon it was only $4.99! So I got 2 and I save around $4 dollars in total for both. Now I really lucked out or should I say I was put in the right place at the right time as they had 9x 1lb packs of ground turkey for only $2.45 ea! The ground turkey is normally $4.49 when not on sale, So I saved at least $18.36 by finding it on a yellow sticker sale! They also had butterball turkey bacon on offer for $2.99 I believe it’s a 12-16oz pack I can’t remember but I am trying different ones to see what one I like best as a replacement for bacon. They also had herbal teas from Celestial Seasonings for $1.99 for a 20pk of tea bags which is not to bad, I bought 4 packs including peppermint I hope it will help with headaches or cold/flu. Which thinking about it I need my husband to send me some tea from the UK I miss it! Lastly I did find fome EVOO blend oil for $2.70 for 16oz which I thought was really cheap it also showed that it was originally $5.99 a bottle so I got 2 bottles as it was quite cheap for what it was. I saved $3.29 a bottle, so that is a total $6.58 for both not to bad I think and I can use this to cook and make dressing with instead of my avocado oil (I also got that cheap but can’t remember the price). So I spent a total of $106.27 with a saving of $32.70 on all the items on sale and with coupons, But I saved another roughly $24.94 with the clearanced and quick sale foods. So a total of $57.64 was saved.

We did go to Ridleys on Monday, I also did some stock up shopping here as well. They had 24-26oz bags of malt-o-meal for $1.99 with digital coupon and you can get up to 5 bags with this coupon but I only got 2 as sadly they did not have much in the way of choice, plus we do eat a bit of processed cereal with and without milk and honestly if we are not very hungry we will just have a bowl of cereal and call it good (this is a throw back to my childhood and honestly I rather have my kid eat than not!). I did buy a 25lb bag of rolled oats as I do like to make some cookies with oats as well as for crumbles for pies (I am trying to get myself to like oatmeal and I do plan on buying another 25lb bag). I wanted to grab a 25lb bag of sugar for only $13.99 but they only had one so I let my parents get that, that is only like 55 cents a pound at that price which I think is really good! They also had food club large eggs for $1.49 per dozen with a digital coupon so I got the max I was allowed to buy which was 5 and at $7.45 for 5 dozen I don’t think that is too bad vs around $10-$11 at walmart for the same amount. I did get some more cans of chef boyardee but uh the beef ravioli was not on sale for 99cents as shown in the flier so I had to get beefaroni, bit annoyed as it showed that variety on the flier but eh things happen still got it cheap and thats all that counts.
We did go to walmart and I found a few things, grant it not on sale or offer that I know off but hey not a lot of money was paid for the stuff. one was a furry/fuzzy round bolster pillow (the size and shape of a large basketball) for my son this was because our cat has a bed made of a similar material and well he takes off with her cat bed it was under $5 before taxes so not to bad to stop him from taking the cats bed. I also got a hair dryer similar model on amazon was around $24.99 before taxes and walmart had a similar model for only $19.99 befor taxes (I need a hair dryer as my hair is really thick and takes ages to dry even tho I buzzed it off back in Sept of last year and it’s only now reaching to below my ears don’t want to go to bed with wet hair). I also found a bottle of shea moisture coconut & hibiscus bath, body and massage oil on clearance for $7 and I believe its normally around $11.99, I do plan on giving it a try on my deadends.
Last but not least we went to our local thrift sotre (second hand store) and I found a nice thick furry/plush blanket for our dogs that pretty much they can all lay on for only $3-$6 roughly and I found a great coffee table for only $10! My parents also gave me a rug they found at a thrift store in California for I think $10-$20 because they forgot about ti and they were not using it so Yay! Yes the rug needs cleaned I know lol.

Now for the cooking which is not as long of a ramble as shopping was. But I did cook all 9lbs of the turkey and I got around 7lbs cooked turkey from 9lbs of raw turkey. I have about 4lbs of turkey done for taco’s, I have 2lbs that have taco bell original taco seasoning and the other 2lbs have old el paso original taco seasoning but both have shredded potato in them. Around 3lbs have been left unseasoned so I can use it to make turkey chilli or maybe even our family recipe for golash, or even mix it with turkey gravy and pour on either toast, rice, fries, noodles, stuffing etc lots of possibilites with plain ground turkey! Left is one of the turkey taco meat with shredded potatoes and the one on the right it plan ol turkey.

Now what? Well I have not fully unpacked everything and well I have not organized much either So I started to clean and get things organized on Monday and have most of my kitchen and pantry organized now. Wednesday we had to take my daughter to Rawlins to get a few shots so she can go to school the end of the month she did a great job getting her shots! While we were there we went to walmart I found 1lb packs of jennie-o ground turkery on yellow sticker offer for $3.61 we took the last 6 packs which means 3 for the kids and myself and 3 for my parents they had some pure castile bar soap (peppermint scented my favourite) for $2.25 a pack of 2, its not a overly cheap brand but i picked up the last 4 packs, I believe I also picked up 1 bottle of Mrs Meyers hand soap for $3 which aint bad. We did make a stop at City Market they had 3x 1lb packs of ground beef for $3.67 so I got those. They also had celestial seasonings cold brew ice tea red, white and blue teas on clearance for $1.05 per 18 count and I got the last 5 as I love teas all teas actually! and that was it no other good deals.
