A bit has changed since my last post, I have now completed my hiset testing and I now have my high school equivalent diploma! I can not speak good enough about the teachers at LCCC Laramie Campus who teach the adult education program for the hiset testing! They are amazing people! Since I have passed my hiset test I have applied to a college and I was excepted, I have choosing to go down the agriculture and equine pathway at the college.
I am going into the equine management program this fall, I actually had a horsemanship tryout last week to gauge how well I could listen and follow instructions before being approved to register for my last course, and I am really looking forward to learning more about horses and how to ride. If this next school year in college goes well for me I do plan on going into their ranch management program, and if that also goes well I am looking into other agriculture and equine pathway programs at the college. Because the road can be closed between me and the college I have chosen to stay on campus, I will come home at the weekends unless the roads are closed, I have been given an assignment or even a school based job.
In my last post I talked about doing a low or no spend month this month and well that has not happened as planned. I have had to buy things like boots and jeans that I did not plan on buying because of my horsemanship tryout, however I found acceptable boots on clearance at walmart, and I could not find the jeans I originally wanted but did end up finding a cheaper pair. I am also hoping I can buy my college stuff before prices rise or everything is sold out, I hate being not being prepared.
Oh I have finally hatched some goslings, three so far, I am expecting another 2 here in a couple of days. I also bought two broad breasted white turkey chicks from Murdoch’s, these are strictly for food purposes as they are a quick growing cross between I believe a white holland and a broad breasted bronze. I bought them as they were 75% off, they were originally $12.99 each, so I only paid around $3.25 each for them. They have turned out to be good companions for my lone hatched gosling and they cuddle up together, what is really cute is watching the little turkeys trying to fly and seeing this little gosling running behind them flapping their fuzzy little wings.
So over the coming months my posting might change a little bit before going to college. Until my next post thank you for reading and I hope you have a blessed day, week, & month!
